AI Canada National Youth Organizers gathered online to write letters in support of the #RiosVivos communities in Colombia. Ríos Vivos is a grassroots movement of families dependent on the Cauca River for their food and livelihoods. They courageously denounced social and environmental impacts of the massive Hidroituango dam and destruction of their ancestral ways of living. Their protests have been met with threats and attacks, including the assassination of six community leaders.
