The imagineNATIVE festival (October 17 – 21, Toronto) is an annual showcase for new works by Indigenous artists from around the world working in film, video, radio and new media. This year, Amnesty International has partnered with the festival on a project called the Stolen Sisters Digital Initiative, a project to celebrate the lives of Indigenous women and their contributions as strong, successful and valued members of society.

imagineNative has commissioned four, one minute videos by award-winning Indigenous filmmakers. In the weeks leading up and during to the imagineNATIVE festival, these short films will be shown in some of the most trafficked public spaces in the country, on more than 500 digital displays on subway platforms in Toronto subways and in shopping centres across Canada.
